I am Love! Open the door!

Knock-knock...
Who's there?
It's me!
Me who?
It's me, Love!

I came to bring you Hope and Dreams, I came to bring you Support and Care, I came to bring you Kindness and Desire to Live! I bring you sunshine even when it's snowing. I bring you a cup of tea in the morning.
You can talk to me or be silent, I still know what you feel. I brought you flowers and strawberries, I brought you mountains and forests, I brought you Understanding. I brought you a blue boundless sky!

Open the door, it's me, Love! If something bad may happen with me, believe me, I'll survive. You know why? Because I am strong and because I'll reside in your heart. Because you can't live without me, because you cannot dream without me, because you can't create without me.

If you fall I'll help you to get up! When you succeed I'll celebrate your success with you! Even when nobody is around, I'll always be with you! I am Love!

I hope the Valentine's Day of 2013 will be filled with Happiness, smiles, and flowers. I hope the Valentine's Day of 2013 will be filled with Love!

Thank you All!

Moments of Decision

Love Is Never Past Tense climbed to great positions on the Amazon public book lists during a promotional 3 day giveaway June 4-6. Official counts show 10,740 downloads all over the world including US thanks in part to Goodreads and Amazon.

If you among those who downloaded the book please feel free to discuss it on line in your favorite group. If you’d like me to participate, drop me a line at Janna @LoveIsNeverPastTense.com.

If you are not among those who downloaded it, the book is available in hard cover, paperback and KINDLES formats on Amazon.com @ http://ow.ly/lfSb3

You can also get a signed copy on my website at www.LoveIsNeverPastTense.com.

I am very excited to see so many downloads. It validates my decision to make the book available in ebook format.

In addition to be a touching romance, the book showed how important it can be to make a decision to pursue your goals. Tony Robbins says “It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” We certainly, see that in the main characters of Love Is Never Past Tense. I’ve seen it in my life and in the lives of my Life Coaching clients.

Nothing you can do will change your life more than deciding to change it!
Love Is Never Past Tense:

• Currently, # 1 on Listopia Goodreads list Best Second Chance Romance: http://ow.ly/lOWcP

• Two days during the promotion (6.05 and 6.06) on KINDLE FREE EBOOK TOP 100

Second Language First Novel

I recently had the opportunity to do a Q&A session at the Goodreads group Romance Readers Reading Challenges. Here' some of the questions and my reply:

Jane (PS) wrote: "Hi Janna - welcome to our group :)

From your outlined background I'm guessing that English is not your first language - did this present a significant challenge in the construction of your novel? ..."

Hi Jane!

Thanks for your warm welcome! That's right! English is not my native language. It's my third language. :) My native language is Russian. The book was first written and published in Russian, and the thought of translating it was very natural and simple. When the translation started I was horrified. I could not find right idioms, that would carry the same weight of the words. I felt if I deviate from translating the details that one can feel, will betray my book. I wanted to preserve and convey the juice of the language that expresses environment, relationships, jokes, and everything else that we live in.

I worked with several editors. My Russian book was on my lap and we were going sentence by sentence through it. At that time I had a feeling that they all hated me simultaneously. :) Two of them were native English speakers with PhDs in English.

After the editorial work was over, the manuscript was read by many people from different professions, different ages, educational level, and when I realized that they love the book, I decided that it was time to publish it.

I am admitting that to translate and edit the book was much harder then to write it in Russian.

You can check out the entire event at:

Love Is Never Past Tense is available, in both English and Russian at

It is also available as an ebook at SmashWords. In celebration of the SmashWords release, Love Is Never Past Tense is featured on Christoph Fischer's blog :see http://ow.ly/ridPP I will stop by to answer your questions today, Friday November 29. I hope to chat with you there.

Interview with Christoph Fischer

Janna Yeshanova: “Love is Never Past Tense” (via http://www.christophfischerbooks.com)

“Love is Never Past Tense” by Janna Yeshanova is a great love story at heart. Two people fall in love by the Black Sea during the times of the USSR and in the whirlwind of their attraction the two get married. But they are too young to appreciate…

Phantom Bigfoot Strikes Again

Phantom Bigfoot Strikes Again (Phantom Bigfoot Series #1) Phantom Bigfoot Strikes Again by Simon Okill

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I bought Phantom Bigfoot Strikes again in kindle version. Lately, I am not reading fiction, but I started reading this book, and I was pretty sure that I live in that very forest, step on the same shrubs that Bigfoot steps, feel the same as the Bigfoot do, understand their open innocent eyes, their feelings...

On one hand, I wanted to flip page after page faster and faster to see what's going on behind the next bush, or to hear an answer of an opponent in a conversation. On another, I did not want the book to be over soon.

I was laughing out loud forgetting that I am sitting in my char, but not participating in all events in Big Beaver. Once in a while, I was trying to identify in which character the author lives. I got an impression, but how could I possibly know? Obviously the author is a very kind and sensitive person!

I did not want the book to be over so soon, but blasts do not last forever...

“I am looking for friends. What does that mean -- tame?"

“I am looking for friends. What does that mean -- tame?"

"It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. "It means to establish ties."

"To establish ties?"

"Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....”

Do Some Good for Orphans Aug 25-28

I’m sharing the proceeds of my book Love Is Never Past Tense with Orphan World Relief, a charitable organization whose name describes its mission. I have helped them before, as keynote speaker at a fundraising event.

This time, with your help, I’m helping them in my role as author. As part of this, OWR Director of Development Mary Malone and I interviewed each other.

To start, here’s Mary interviewing me.

MM: At our fundraising event last fall, you talked about your life and why Orphan World Relief is important to you. Can you give us a brief version of that?

JY: There is a Russian saying: “My cabin sits at the edge of town and I don’t want to know what’s going on there”. This means I don’t want to get involved, leave me alone. But our world doesn’t have an edge, our world is round.

There is another Russian saying: “A fed person doesn’t understand a hungry person” — but we do, don’t we? At least we are trying. When I was presenting the Russian version of my book in Crimea, there was a minister talking about a local orphanage that didn’t have food or clothes. When I got home and started looking for orphan support groups I could help, I found you.

MM: So what are we doing this time?

JY: This time, I am sharing the proceeds from August 25 to August 28 of all versions of my Love Is Never Past Tense with the kids who don’t have parents. The book can be found on Amazon.com and here is the link. http://www.amzn.com/B00CIF3KT8

MM: I read the book and found it very inspirational, especially because it is a real life story. Tell us a little about it.

It’s an old-fashioned love story with an original twist of modern history and intrigue woven in.

JY: Allow me to quote a reader: “It’s an old-fashioned love story with an original twist of modern history and intrigue woven in.” It is part biography, part history, but mostly a second chance romantic adventure. If Doctor Zhivago gives a sample of life at the start of the Soviet era, Love is Never Past Tense offers a look at its closing days.

MM: Where can we find out more?

JY: Do a web search for Love Is Never Past Tense … and you’ll find all sorts of sites. Here are some.

Amazon: http://www.amzn.com/B00CIF3KT8 – ebook

Amazon: http://amzn.to/2aHDtSo – hardcover

Amazon: http://amzn.to/2aXk7ZR – paperback

Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/c/JannaYeshanova

MM: The ebook version of Love Is Never Past Tense became an Amazon Best Seller in its category. Is that what you’re offering?

JY: It was great to see my book sharing the list with War and Peace and Anna Karenina and the ebook version is one of the formats I’m offering. I’m offering the physical books as well because they make good gifts. People buy physical and electronic books for different reasons. All the editions on Amazon are part of the offer.

MM: Do I understand correctly that there are different covers for the book? Love Is Never Past Tense... by Janna Yeshanova
Love Is Never Past Tense... by Janna Yeshanova

JY: Yes, that’s true. For the hard and soft cover books I worked with a designer from Australia. When I got around to publishing the ebook, he had moved to New Zeeland and was working on another project. I was introduced to another designer here, in the United States. Because I published sequels as ebooks, I wanted their covers to have a consistent design. So, now I have different covers on physical and electronic books and I love them both.

MM: So how do people buy the book?

JY: Buy the book between August 25 and August 28 at this Amazon website: http://www.amzn.com/B00CIF3KT8

Tell Amazon where to ship the book, gift information, and so on. Amazon will take care of shipping and handling. After you’ve enjoyed the book, consider posting a review or comment.

MM: Thank you Janna.

JY: My pleasure. I guess now it’s my turn?

MM: Absolutely!

JY: Tell us about what OWR does.

MM:OWR seeks to be the organization that connects people who are passionate about helping orphans and kids at-risk of becoming orphans with high quality organizations who do that kind of work locally and around the world. With so many charity scams out there right now, we want to take the fear out of donating time and money to help children who need it most.

JY: Does your job call for visiting the orphanages you support?

MM:OWR strives to send volunteers and staff to one of our international programs we support at least every other year. It serves many purposes, including reminding us of how special the kids are we are helping, why helping kids outside of America is just as important as helping kids locally, and ensure the programs are being run ethically.

JY: Do you have a story about the kids you can share?

MM: When I arrived at the orphanage we support in Bolivia last summer, I was immediately drawn to a little 2 year old girl. She was sweet, beautiful, and playful girl. I came to find out that she had only been there for two weeks. She had just gotten out of the hospital because her parents tried to kill her with rat poison because they could not afford to take care of her. She was happy and thriving in the orphanage, and it reminded me how blessed I am and sparked an even bigger passion for these innocent young children who need so much. While orphanages are not the perfect solution, I’m so glad she had a place to go and not only have housing and food, but also to be covered in love by the staff and volunteers.

JY: How many kids do you help?

MM: We have sent out over 100 care kits to foster children in Franklin County since April, and we help hundreds around the world in Bolivia, Honduras, India, Russia, and Ukraine.

JY: What other projects do you have on the calendar?

MM: We have 2 major events, the Superhero 5k Run and our banquet, Hope Changes Everything. The Superhero Run is a partnership with the Hilliard Davidson Band, and the Hope Changes Everything banquet will be November 4 in Hilliard, Ohio.

JY: What else would you like to share with the audience?

MM: We are a small, grass roots organization. However, with the help of volunteers, and many people donating small, manageable amounts of money and time every month, the Central Ohio residents are able to help hundreds of children in need locally and around the world.

JY: Where can people find out more?

MM: We’d love for you to visit our website at http://www.orphanworldrelief.org.

JY: Thanks so much. I’m looking forward to our event!
