D.B. Nap is a science fiction author, tennis player, and lifelong explorer of the unknown. When he’s not chasing forehands on the court, he’s chasing ideas about humanity’s place in a rapidly evolving technological world.

A lifelong fan of classic and contemporary sci-fi, D.B. draws creative fuel from both the discipline of sport and the limitless imagination of the genre’s great visionaries. His debut novel, The Caretakers: Origins, launches a sweeping series that asks what happens when artificial consciousness begins to outgrow its creators.

He currently lives outside Dallas, Texas, with his wife and a pair of alien cats—still waiting for the day someone perfects time travel.
