Progress On The Audiobooks
Distant Saga Trilogy is very much into production. I'm hoping to hear the first sample of the produced book soon. I'm so nervious about it...but also excited to hear the finished product.
I'm wondering what all of you prefer - reading a book yourself, Audible books, or maybe both? Which seems to be more appealing to you - the reader...or...uh....listener.
Into The Shadow of Dark is also undergoing the audio experience. I've managed to get a few auditions - many seemed very interested to make this one - the voice work will definately give it that eerie feel I wanted. Again, I'm so pumped to see this completed.
It's gonna be awesome for sure. If it does well, I may do several more short audios like a series....but I don't want to jump ahead of myself - let's see how this does first.

My first book is now an audio. It sounds great, the narrator - Nicholas Eblen, did a fantastic job. Especially on the bonus story added - Outer Red -Part One: Off The Given Path.
If you’ve read that ebook, then listening to it will be a treat. The other stories are just as good to listen too as well, Eblen captured the characters and brought them to life.

Second Introductory Story from The Mysterious World Of Professor Darkk And Miss Shadow Book #0
Told ya I’m a busy guy.
So, there are about 6 short stories from Book #0. Plus I’m still trying to focus on the main novel (Book #1) as well. Not only that....but I’m working on Outer Red’s second part, the sequel short story book Distant Saga Trilogy - AND - another collective mini-story sci fi book.
Whew!
Anyways, this second story - Haunted House On Henry Street, is now available on amazon/kindle right now. I’m entering it into the Goodreads Giveaway (Starting Sept. 12th)....I may even consider putting it right up on Audilbe soon as well. Since Mathew Coyle did such a great job on the previous story, I may just get him to narrate this one as well.
My reviews for Into The Shadow Of Dark on Audible have been fantastic. So far everyone seems very pleased with the story there and has had great rankings.

Just a way to keep it tied to the whole “Book #0” thing. The other cover design is on my Payhip.com/jeffwalkerbooks site. It has a different design and might be a good way of attracting readers there too. (I hope...)

Reflection On First Book
Distant Saga Trilogy: A Short Story Collection
2015 I combined three tales of speculative/science fiction into one book. I called it a trilogy....mainly because it was three stories...but perspectively as three linked tragedies all dealing with human failings.
Having started on my publishing journey from that one, I’ve learned a lot over the process. And while I will always hold this book in my highest achievement, I also feel it was my weakest “first try” in story telling. My wife tells me that they are amazing stories (my biggest fan of course) but to me - looking at them now - I think I could have made them a tad bit more then what they were.
Could I go back and remaster them? I could....though I have already “revised” them to correct certain mistakes overlooked. But that would mean taking a step back. That’s something I don’t want to do. The book is done in my eyes, no need to continually tinker with something that’s published and established.
Those that are reviewing the book (audio and otherwise) will no doubt share some of my feelings on this. And I can’t honestly blame them. But I hope it is rather enjoyable to read nonetheless. The stories are complete and still a fine read for me. So I’m happy with them.
As I’ve stated before in a previous blog, I am in the process of creating a sequel book of sorts to Distant Saga Trilogy. I’ll take what I’ve learned from that one and improve my story telling skills to create a tad longer shorts. I mean, they are short stories, that’s the whole idea of a short story collection. For those of you that have read the book or listened to it....what other suggestions can you offer me about this?

I’ve begun yet another new idea for a story. This one is set in the future (whether it is distant or closer than we think is up to you), it is about the human race being subjected by two artificial intelligent robots we created. I’ve release the first chapter up on Inkitt.com and Wattpad.com. I may just continue uploading the further chapters there and then pull it all together until it’s complete.
