Great Day at the Beach
Had a great day at the beach. It was sunny, bright, and not overwhelmingly hot. Worked on my tan for a while, then spent a lot of time in the water to keep my head cool. Hair is driving me nuts. Hubby wants me to cut it. He's right, but I'm chicken.
Let's see - I'm 33, and my hair has been long for about the last 30 years. Hmm ...
Back to writing tomorrow. Gotta finish Oh Claire! by mid-July.

Sun, Sand, Writing, Deciding
Lots of sun and sand today. Beautiful weather - 14 degrees cooler than back at home.
Resolved a difficult issue in my upcoming novel, Oh Claire! today. Will finish that section tomorrow and move to the last 2 chapters.
Decided to finally cut all this hair off, but will wait until I'm back home. I did call a top salon back home today and made an appointment for mid July. Still haven't decided on a style, but it will be REALLY short.
Now, if I don't get cold feet ...

Home from the Beach
Back home. Tan, rested, 2-weeks more pregnant and ready to finish "Oh Claire!".
Loved the beach but it's good to be back. Particularly loved having every day with hubby.
It's hotter than blazes here - hotter than the beach by 10 - 15 degrees.
Still planning to lose the hair in 2 weeks. Haven't decided on a style - so I'm open for input. But it's gotta be short, short , short - and easy. Curly or straight - I'm open to either. But if I'm gonna do this, it's gonna be all the way! I've had long hair since I was about 3 years old - 30 years is long enough.
Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. I don't want to lose my nerve!

Well, My Hair Is Short
It's a VERY long story, but my hair is now short. I think, REALLY short. You can judge from the new pics I've posted.
I got roped into modeling for one of my mother's photo shoots. If you want details, you can ask me. What a horrible experience! I hate modeling! They decided I needed an "edgy" haircut because the photos were to be used in a concept test for a new perfume (in Germany). So the pics I've posted are 3 concepts the ad agency created from the same photo.
They hadn't yet named the perfume, so my mother suggested calling it "Giulia," after me. They used that in the concept proofs, as you can see, but I don't know if it'll be the actual name when it goes to market.
At first glance, I look really different to me. But, except for a little more makeup (the one thing I did like), my eyes are the same and so are my nose and lips and face ... I'm just still not used to it.
Tell me your opinion, I think I can handle it.
