Dana Middleton grew up in Georgia before moving to Los Angeles to work in film, television and theatre. She was a producer of an Academy Award-nominated short film, and is a recipient of a Los Angeles Theatre Ovation Award. Her middle grade novels include Not a Unicorn, The Infinity Year of Avalon James, and Open If You Dare. Scary Stories to Tell at Night

I had never written a horror story before. Then I got the opportunity to contribute a story to a middle grade horror anthology (edited by Stephen Jones and illustrated by Randy Broecker), and I jumped at the chance.
