David Corbin spent over twenty years as a U.S. Navy officer, serving around the world before returning to Oklahoma, the place where his love of old game consoles, small-town stories, and “what-if” questions first took root.
His debut novel, The Last Save: Paradox 5200, reintroduced readers to the magic of retro gaming and the ache of second chances.
Now, Corbin drives deeper into the Paradox universe, exploring branching choices, altered memories, and the consequences of rewriting a life.
Blending nostalgia, emotional realism, and a lifelong passion for time-bending storytelling, he writes with one guiding question:
If you could save your life like a game… what would you risk to get it right?

I didn’t know then what it would eventually become, only that it stuck with me. The concept was simple: what if a man could relive his past through the very games that helped him survive it?

Over the years, that idea grew r Read more of this blog post »
