Whether they be friends, lovers, siblings, or intergenerational. In that sense, Holmes and Watson are my favorite fictional couple. They know everything there is to know about each other, and it's okay. They don't always agree, and sometimes they're estranged, but their true affection overcomes disagreements. They each want the other to be the best he can be. They are present in each other's lives.(less)
