Claire Ryan is an Irish author, now living in Vancouver BC. She originally wanted to just write fantasy novels for a living, but was told from a very young age that she should do something 'practical'.

That turned into a degree in Geology, a postgrad in computers, and eventually a large dose of experience and technical skills in everything from data analysis to graphic design to marketing.
