Happy New Year! (+ Podcast)

Hey Friends—

Happy New Year!

I hope the eve of 2024 finds you all doing well and enjoying some great books. I only ended up reading 14 in 2023, in part because I was writing and editing my next novel, Date Week, which I'm excited to share with you this June. But as my wife, who is the most voracious reader I've ever known, reminds me, it's not about how big that number is. It's about the joy of reading itself.

For me, that joy obviously extends into writing, as well, and one of my favorite things to do is talk about the craft of writing books. If that's something you're also interested in, I thought the start of the new year would be a good time to remind you about my podcast, Working Drafts.

I've released six episodes so far, five of which featured a guest and one where I flew solo. Regardless of whether I'm talking to someone or just to myself, the idea is the same: to talk about some element(s) of the writing process in a half-an-hour or so. New episodes come out on the 15th of each month (okay, most months), and you can get them pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts.

Happy reading (and listening).

A Date Week Teaser, Podcast Style

Date Week by Ted Fox Hey Friends--

I hope that you're enjoying some great reading no matter where in the world this finds you.

It's a big month for me because, as you may know, my new novel, Date Week, comes out in just over a week on June 25. This one is a rom-com that, fittingly, takes place over the course of one week in late June, so hopefully you (and a whole bunch of other people) will find Will and Rachel's story to be the perfect summer read.

You can learn more about Date Week and enter the giveaway for a free Kindle edition right here on Goodreads. I also have a new episode of my Working Drafts podcast out today, on which I talk with my longtime literary agent, Jessica Sinsheimer, about how this book came to be and the collaboration between authors and agents more generally. That's available at the link to my website above as well as pretty much anywhere you get your podcasts.

Thanks for reading and for your support.
