When Elizabeth is not working on a novel or poetry, she is busy keeping up with her blog Meyet ...more

I never try to force my writing because it's futile and what I write ends up in the deleted scenes file. Chocolate or wine are also usually involved.(less)

I guess my favorite written by another author would have to be Claire Beauchamp Randall and Jamie Fraser of Outlander. Oh, the passion! I love how they are so evenly matched in feistiness and courage.(less)

Do You Believe in Signs?

When we lose someone, we long to have a connection with them. The natural reaction is to ask for signs. One of the last things I said to Rich was, “Text me when you get there.” He smiled and squeezed my hand. Between our clasped hands was a small, carved, wooden cross. Rich had been Read More

Quotes by Elizabeth Meyette  (?)
Quotes are added by the Goodreads community and are not verified by Goodreads. (Learn more)

“She hated funeral homes with their thick carpets and elegantly appointed decor. She would much prefer an all-out Irish wake where everyone drank too much Guinness and brawls broke out. That's how the dead should be honored- with life and all of it's warts.”
Elizabeth Meyette, The Cavanaugh House

“I cannot live without books.”
Thomas Jefferson

“Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.”
Anne Lamott

“I didn't say it would be easy. I said it would be worth it.”
Lynn Crandall
