About fifteen seconds later you're replaced by someone who can produce on demand. Someone who can deliver regardless of their current mental state or circumstances. That's the difference between a pro writer and an amateur. (less)

Create a blog, not so much to develop a following but to give you practice producing short pieces with a beginning, middle and end. Like anything else, the more you work at it, the better you get.(less)

Signs of Spring

The red-winged blackbirds are back on the Riverwalk in the state park that runs parallel to the Detroit River. It’s one of the sure signs of Spring.

They’re staring to swoop and attack walkers.

The next sign of spring are the aluminum fishing boats that dot the river fishing for walleye. They should appear in a week or so.
