William Charles is a Boston-based author focused on LGBTQ+ historical fiction. The Bachelor Sage is his second novel, following "Patches," and he is currently working on a prequel, "The Chessmaster Sage," and the third book in "The Sage Chronicles" series, "The Dandy Sage."

His work explores themes of identity, love, and social dynamics across different historical periods, bringing nuanced perspectives to queer stories of the past.

William is also a professional illustrator with a published book cover that launched Fall 2025 and is currently illustrating two children's books.
