Do Dogs really go to Heaven?
YES! YES! YES! The spirits of our animal companions are eternal and we can keep in contact with them.
In fact, my last book, "Conversations with Mr. Kiki," was co-written with my animal companion's spirit. We began work about three months after he left this Earth behind.
Last week, Pope Francis comforted a small child who had lost his beloved dog, and indicated there would be a place in heaven for his pet. Since then, a media storm has erupted with theological experts and lay people expressing their views.
I will now add my voice to this controversy. In January of 2014, I experienced a near-death journey to the other side after a serious fall. Just like he told me, the first face to greet me was that of Mr. Kiki.
Standing on his hind legs and clapping his front paws together, he telepathically communicated, "You are here!" Then, he morphed into the most extraordinary angelic presence.
"Told you I wasn't really a dog," he re-iterated. This phrase he had mentioned during an animal communication prior to his physical death.
I would like to share more of my near-death journey with you, and am doing so in my new book, "Born Shaman: Dancing at The Edge of Madness." Look for it in 2015.
Wishing each and every one of you a blessed holiday season and a New Year filled with joy, hope and inspiration.

A Winter Storm
Like the pellets of rain falling on my weathered, clapboard house, I seem to be mirroring this activity in my writing life.
Try as I might, the seeds planted for my last endeavor have not yet taken root as I had hoped.
What to do? When you are in a quandry, where do you put your attention? I'm exploring this question in this blog because winter is a time of introspection.
What tools do you use to push yourself out of the doldrums during a rainy day?
An old trick I'm about to resort to is to take ten random subjects and place each topic on a small piece of paper. I will draw one out of a pile and that's the subject, I'll explore today until inspiration strikes.
Let me know what you engage in to propel yourself out of a roadblock.
I am eagerly awaiting your reports.

Walking My Talk: Co-creating with Nature
For the past twenty years, I have developed a relationship with nature that has been more grounded in spirtuality rather than day-to-day reality.
The concept for MIRANDA's MAGIC GARDEN, my first children's book, came in a dream. The imagery was in animation form and at first, I could only envision the project as performed. A chance meeting with a published children's book author guided me to begin by writing the story down in book form.
Since I knew very little about physical gardening principles, it was necessary to steep myself in research. My own home garden was languishing, while Miranda's featured sunflowers that reached fifty feet into the air!
The irony of this finally occurred to me, and as I began to physically engage with my outdoor garden, the book finally began to bloom.
Recently, I returned to my home base of Los Angeles after a two-year sabaticcal in the forests of Tennessee. When I returned, I was unsure of my next step, and where to focus my energies.
Through a series of synchronistic encounters, including dreams, I was guided to develop an urban landscape that I have named SERENITY GARDENS.
In retrospect, it is the perfect embodiment of all I have learned through my interaction with nature spirits, and my beloved Mr. Kiki who still communes with me. But, it was not consciously directed by me. I believe it was a spiritual intervention to assist me in getting back on track.
The gardens we all tend need not be physical ones; they can also be ideas that we manifest to further our personal growth.
Ultimately, gardens are the metaphor for how we live our lives: planting seeds, tending to their well-being, enjoying the harvest, and eventually letting go. The recycling of energy never ends, but is a spiral that continues through eternity.

Animals as Soul Mates
If you have not yet met your animal soul mate, chances are you can call him or her forward by invoking their presence.
First, I suggest making a list of all the key characteristics you are looking for: i.e., a lap dog, a companion cat, an athletic canine that can catch a frisbee, a rescue animal that you can foster ...
Also, put in personality characteristics such as perky, calm, energetic, etc.
Compile your list over a three day period. Checking back each day until you are sure it's like Goldilocks third bowl of porridge ... just right!
Now, you are ready to sit quietly, eyes closed, and begin to imagine your animal materializing in your mind's eye. Take as long as you need to receive a vision. This may take a number of tries, but if you are patient, your animal soul mate will show up.
Once you receive an image, see yourself and your companion together and notice what kinds of activities you are engaged in.
Invite your animal to join you in real time, and use a name to call him or her forward, if one has come to you.
Continue to replay this visualization for as many times as you like, and wait for your animal soul mate to show up in your life.
"Once the animal placement review board receives a request, we create a template for the human and animal to connect," says Mr. Kiki. "We help humans and animals connect who are seeking to further their spiritual evolution. We look forward to being of service."

Holiday Greetings from Mr. Kiki
If you have room in your home and heart, this is the perfect season to add a companion animal to your family. Many people have needed to place their best friends in shelters because of downsizing and the current economic turndown on your plane.
These animals eagerly await new homes and new best friends to bond with. If this step is right for you, let your intuition be your guide.
We see the shift toward more abundance taking place during the next year and encourage you to save an animal during this holiday season. There are many bright points of light awakening on Earth as we approach the New Year and the animals in your life will be a great comfort to any increased stress you may experience in the first half of 2012.
The animal kingdom has tremendous healing energy which they gladly impart to their people. Also, the veil is lifting between worlds, and you will find it easier to communicate with your companions.
We see you as light particles, and through a type of telepathy, both spirit animals and those in body can read the pictures your mind sees. So, let your imagination open up to the wonders of seeing and hearing our kind.
We are waiting to make contact from our realm.

Conversations with Mr. Kiki
Usually, Mr. Kiki shares his thoughts here, but today he felt I should share with you the wonderful synchronicity that has occurred.
Have you ever wondered what would happen to your animals if you were suddenly not able to care for them? Where would they go and who would become their new person?
On October 3rd, while I was speaking with Jo-Anne Vandermeulen, host of "Authors Articulating," she shared the vision for a Spirit Pet Sanctuary that is being developed in Vancouver.
Her sharing of the vision was prompted by my mentioning that Mr. Kiki's mission on the other side is to work with a team that does animal rescues. In effect, matching animals and human companions for the greatest spiritual growth for both species.
According to Mr. Kiki, there is a vast network that orchestrates these seemingly accidental encounters.
To learn more about this exciting new animal rescue project, I invite you to visit: http://www.spiritpetsanctuary.com/201...
Mr. Kiki and I endorse this endeavor 100% and hope you will too.

Conversations with Mr. Kiki
A paradigm shift is taking place on planet Earth, and we here on the other side want you to know that we will be extending you love and enhanced energy to assist your personal transformation or transition.
We see many of you becoming more selfless and taking the high road in your inner personal relationships, and for that, we are grateful.
If you should feel particularly fearful because of weather changes, disasters, any type of upheaval, remember we are just a whisper away. Any animal you have ever loved is here awaiting you, and since there is no time measured on our side of the fence, we are very patient.
The shift that is happening will recreate a world of beauty where all precious resources and animal and plant life will be nurtured and supportive.
We look forward to helping you grow during this exciting level of evolution.

Conversations with Mr. Kiki
If you have ever wondered if animals have souls, and what happens to them when they die, this blog is for you.
Let me begin by introducing you to Mr. Kiki. He is a master spiritual teacher that now lives on the other side. During his last lifetime on Earth (1988-2004), he lived as an animal companion, born a Pekingese. He came to Earth to increase his spiritual growth and act as a spiritual guide for me.
At the time we met, I was deeply involved in expansion activities including meditation, drumming and Tibetan overtone singing.
I did not discover the true nature of our relationship until he had passed over. At his burial, I "heard" a voice tell me that I would write a book, CONVERSATIONS WITH MR. KIKI. Although I did not understand at that time how it would be accomplished, I simply accepted that it would.
The process of receiving his messages and writing the book with his participation took me seven years, and is now published by Balboa Press under the title of CONVERSATIONS WITH MR. KIKI: ONE WOMAN'S SPIRITUAL JOURNEY WITH HER BEST FRIEND.
I will skip ahead now as the story of our soul evolution is told in this memoir, and you can read it there.
We are currently engaged in sharing information with humanity about the importance of co-creating with nature because our society is at a crossroads, or what many term as a paradigm shift.
There is much to learn from our interaction with both the nature and animal kingdom, and Mr. Kiki has agreed to be a conduit for that information.
Recently, my sister-in-law, Veronica who lives in Brisbane, Australia, contacted me about her missing cat, Tosca. On her behalf, I contacted Mr. Kiki, and he suggested that Veronica continue to visualize Tosca returning to the front door of her apartment.
After two weeks of this process at approximately 5 a.m., Veronica heard loud meowing at the door! A very hungry and skinny Tosca had returned home.
If you have questions for Mr. Kiki or me please send them to me here @ Goodreads.
