Paul van der Merwe is an author, engineer and a Guinness World Record holder.

Always looking for new and exciting ways to challenge the status quo, Paul launched his first book in the true sense of the word.

The book was strapped to a model rocket along with a space LEGO pilot and literally launched into the African sky.

He spends his days working as an engineering manager for an engineering contractor that executes large capital projects for the international mining and minerals industry. He and his wife, Corlia, have two children and live in Pretoria, South Africa.
