Up Date

Well, it’s Sunday evening and I’ve lost track of the week again. I’ve been going through the INK series making sure the content doesn’t have any plot holes before I go over the final book and get it out to the world. Sometimes, I will admit, it is not so easy going at it alone, especially with a trilogy. I know the story and details in my head just fine, but making sure I don’t leave anything out when writing – especially writing fast because fingers don’t keep up all that well with the speed...

Good Gravy, You all are AWESOME!!!

So I’ve been super busy re-reading THROUGH YOUR EYES trying to fix those typos some of you mentioned. I read it again – so that’s like 5 times now!! But I didn’t trust myself enough to just let it rest there. I knew I needed to go to the extreme and ask for help! For those of you who do not know me well, I grew up poor. Like I made food stamps look rich. With that, I have developed a very, real, doctor verified disease called I-hate-to-ask-for-help-itis. Like I said, it’s been verified. So it...

Shame on Me

It’s Sunday evening and dangerously close to the end of summer, at least for some, which begs the question: What the hell have I been doing with my life all summer? Well let’s see. Things I’ve done this summer (some of which were totally useless but enjoyable) :

watched the entire 7 seasons of Game of Thrones in five days (which includes me holding my thumb down on the fast forward button through all the violence and sex scenes – well most of the sex scenes. At least some of the sex scenes....

Phil’s-osophy

Good morning all you beautiful people!

I hope you wake up this Saturday well rested with an agenda of nothing much. Love Saturdays. I try to enjoy them at least once a week. HA! That reminds me of Phil Dunphy’s book of Phil’s-osohpy (love him) off Modern Family. A quote he says is: Watch a sunrise at least once a day….

That just cracks me up. I know it’s silly but I guess that’s the point. That show always makes me laugh and feel as if I’ve just been wrapped in a warm family blanket. One of m...

ACCEPT

I hope you had a fun filled holiday today. Mine was pretty laid back. I went out and had lunch with some family then came home, did a little writing, a little TV watching, and a lot of reading. I just finished Ruth Ware’s THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10. It took me a few days to finish it but it was a good read. I’m glad I picked up a copy. I am now starting on THE ALICE NETWORK. I’ve heard good things about it so here’s to enjoying another good book.

I also thought I’d share another quote from Cheryl...

Just Screw ’em

Hope your week was productive and well behaved and if not, the weekend is the time to send it off on its way while you enjoy two wonderful days of slow mornings and large cups of coffee reminding you that everything’s gonna be alright! It really is. Remind yourself to let go and enjoy right where you are today because right now, in this moment, is really the only time we have.

One of the books I like to read from time to time is Cheryl Strayed’s Brave Enough. It’s a little book full of quotes...

I love when the end of the week finally rolls around but I have to say, most of the time, this is how I feel by then: https://media.giphy.com/media/eBCnpuRGBhQGY/giphy.gif

Today is the Day

Hope your week is going well! Just a quick reminder that today is the day to pop over to Amazon and download a free copy of THROUGH YOUR EYES to celebrate its new release. But you still have to go to work! Ugg. Wait I’m talking to myself….Ok, back to you. Only two days left until the weekend – you can do it! (That’s for both of us). Seriously, I do hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Best,

Mae

Second Chances

Something wonderful happened last night…we got rain! Finally. It made for a cozy readying night indeed. I sat by the window and just read. I started THE GREAT ALONE by Kristin Hannah a few weeks back as well as another book but I read neither of them last night. Instead I started a new one by Ally Carter, NOT IF I SAVE YOU FIRST, and so far I am really liking it. I must have sat by that window for two hours listening to the rain and just reading. I mean, how much more perfect could the evenin...
