I don’t feel it is writer’s block as much as finding the environment where creativity can flow undeterred. Writers should continue to experiment with various locations and times to find the optimal environment. I wrote Sapling in a quiet University computer lab where the story came undeterred and full of life.(less)

I am halfway through DOVE, a future earth dystopian flavoured novel. Here's the blurb-

The citizens of Vernian Prior have dwelt below the surface of the planet for generations. When lack of genetic material creates a crisis, a specialized group of genetically modified personnelle are created to survive in the harsh surface environment. Their goal is to recover genetic samples that will maintain the way of life for the Vernians. DOVE operatives have limited creative thought, feel no pain and are fully bound to their training - all of this governed by an implant. When an accident occurs while away on a mission, the governess chips are disabled.

A journey of self discovery begins for each operative as they slowly gain human characteristics and independent thought. They are soon confronted with a difficult choice: Continued subservience of their former masters or to defy their training and live according to their conscience. Will they leave the Vernians to die or strike back for the atrocities committed against them?(less)

The Seeds of Creativity: A Graphical Journey

Creativity comes in many forms, and I doubt many of us are confined to just one. Writing has been a wonderful journey but rarely do I remain complacent in one area for too long. Too many creative seeds clamouring to the surface, to be the next to taste the sweet sunlight of creation. Is it any surprise that I made a decision to go all in for graphics with my recent novel? I, therefore, direct this Read more of this blog post »
