I was born in Haiti and came to the United States at the age of seven. It was challenging for me to adjust to a new country and to a new family. After a few years, I began to adapt to this country and began to explore and admire what it had to offer me.

At the age of thirty years young, I was forced to face the biggest obstacle of my life. I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. While undergoing chemotherapy, I went back to college and received my master’s degree in children’s literacy. It is now six years later and I am in full remission.

I currently reside in Edison, New Jersey. I am a preschool special education teacher, and I love and take great pride in my career. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on my student’s face ...more
