DIRTY GIRL, Speed Racer, Mopar, Trek, Celebs & TURQ BRONCO!

Good Morning you INSISTENT IDIOTAS, and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Some NEW ART today exploring SPRINT CARS with Fireball’s DIRTY GIRL RACER! Yes, racing ain’t just fer Men folks, and it’s most likely that this lil’ red racer is gonna hammer ’em!

DID YOU KNOW?? Sprint Car Racing originated in the 1910s–1930s as a high-speed, affordable alternative to Indy racing, evolving from modified Model T Fords on fairground horse tracks. Originally known as “big cars” or “dirt track cars,” these stripped-down racers focused on power-to-weight ratios, with wings added later for aerodynamic downforce. In the 1930s, drivers sat high with little protection, leading to an average career span of only seven years. While wingless is considered traditional, top wings (designed for downforce) began appearing in the late 20th century to improve handling on dirt, often featuring “stub outs” in early frames to attach them. Racing came to a halt in the early 1940s due to World War II, returning in the late 1940s with a surge in popularity for hot rods.  Modern 410 sprint cars can produce over 900–1,100 horsepower while weighing only 1,400 pounds.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball hits ESCONDIDO FALLS TRAIL in Malibu during a rainy season and begs the question… “What are YOU doing each day to stay fit?” The longer you live, the MORE CARS you’ll see! And one of them is SPEED RACER’S MACH 5!

And AS YOU KNOW… The Mach 5 was designed by Mitsuki Nakamura for the 1967 Speed Racer anime and was inspired by 1960s European race cars like the Porsche 904 and Ferrari 250 GTO. It featured 5,000 horsepower, seven lettered steering wheel buttons (A-G), and was an iconic white-and-red, open-top car, featuring a “M” for the Mifune family. But DID YOU KNOW… What the 7 Buttons were for? Let’s see if you can remember them all…

A (Auto Jacks): Lifts the car for repairs or jumping.B (Belt Tires): Activates special grips for any terrain.C (Cutter Blades): Projects saws to cut through obstacles.D (Deflector): Closes a bulletproof, waterproof roof.E (Evening Eye): Yellow lights for night visibility.F (Frogger Mode): Converts to a submarine with 30-minute oxygen.G (Ghoming Robot): A drone bird for messages.

SPOTTED IN THE WILD! This incredible DODGE CORONET was spotted in Conejo Valley… but WHAT YEAR IS IT? Fireball belts out the USS ENTERPRISE just as the latest Star Trek Series gets Canceled. And we all KNOW WHY…. But where will NCC-1701 go next??

ON LOCATION! Fireball spends the evening at the Hollywood Christmas Parade and meets up with the Iconic STEFANIE POWERS from Hart to Hart!

And on today’s BEST OF SHOW, Fireball spots this CLASSIC FORD BRONCO on the Beach in Malibu… yes, in Chumash Turquiose!

Have a fantastic CAR SHOW WEEKEND, folks!

SNOOPY, Jimmy Hoffa, Classics, Stangs, Celebs & BEST OF SHOW

What’s up, you UNAPOLOGETIC UNKULARS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! Let’s “Rock the Sox” with Fireball’s SNOOPY ATTACK ART to get this party started! Although with no wheels, makes on ponder… what Snoopy would DRIVE?? Over 2500 Designs now IN THE GARAGE!

DID YOU KNOW?? Snoopy’s iconic doghouse is famously a “larger on the inside” space, often containing a pool table, a Van Gogh painting, and a library, despite its small exterior. It serves as the launchpad for his “Flying Ace” persona, is frequently slept atop rather than inside, and is a beloved, constant backdrop in Peanuts. Snoopy also often mentions having a library inside, including a copy of War and Peace that he tries to read, one word per day.  A real-life, oversized version of the doghouse was built in Pittsburgh in 2000 to honor Charled Schultz, although it was sadly vandalized and stolen shortly after.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… A Classic Shot from Fireball Hikes where the boys discover Jimmy Hoffa’s original PONTIAC! (Unconfirmed, but it sounds cool…) Fireball hits MONTECITO for a BEST OF SHOW (See all the snaps on Facebook HERE) and busts out a 1967 STANG with UNITED WE STAND. *This Art was originally done for Fireball’s first Book back in 1998! *Over 50 to choose from and Wholesale to all CAR MUSEUMS!

ON LOCATION! Fireball with Producer GALE ANNE HURD on the set of the film Clockstoppers.” A great experience with Director Jonathan Frakes.

And lastly… today’s Episode of BEST OF SHOW features a 1967 BMW 1600GT CLASSIC PROTOTYPE ONE-OFF! Wow!! Don’t forget to check out the Trailer of Fireball’s new upcoming film, “GIMME MY MONEY!” The film came in 2nd for the Portland Film Festival!

MAGNUSON HOT ROD, Wendy’s, Rockford, Celebs, & BEST OF SHOW

What’s up, you YODLIN’ YOGIS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! Brand new ART hits the Garage with Fireball’s awesome take on the JERRY MAGNUSON TRACK ROADSTER HOT ROD! Check it out HERE!

DID YOU KNOW?? Born in the Swedish community of Eaton, Colorado… Jerry Magnuson was raised on a farm, along with his sister Sharon. There he began his life-long passion for building dragsters, helping his Dad build their first dragster in the barn. Jerry began racing at Bandimere Raceway and in the 1970s, he founded Magnuson Products, starting with superchargers for motorcycles and drag bikes before expanding to luxury cars and street rods. After selling his company in 2010, he started Trackmaster Products. His 1932 Ford street rod, named “Magnatude,” swept the awards for “America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod” in 2010. “In the spirit of the great race cars of the ’50s, we built the Carrell Speedway Special Track Roadster from a pencil sketch to reflect the traditional Track T with a focus on extreme performance and custom craftsmanship construction.” Fireball’s LIVERY here reflects the design of his Uncle Mike Carroll who was a Pylon Racer in Reno. The original “Fireball” As a Hawker Sea Fury.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball hangs with his livery design for this RANGE ROVER in the hills of Malibu, spots a Ultra Slammed HOT ROD at Wendy’s Friday Night in Ventura (See ALL the shots HERE!), whipsnap sketches a ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM for client JENNIFER MESSINA (Commissions Are OPEN!) and drives an episode of BEST OF SHOW with Actor DENISE CROSBY, Grand-Daughter to BING!

Fireball is hosting COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY at Freedom Park in Camarillo on July 11th! Come one, COME ALL for tons of AMAZING CARS!

And lastly, on today’s BEST OF SHOW, Fireball reveals a stunning 1932 COPPER HOT ROD from Supercar Sunday! Let the DROOLING begin…

’64 GTO ART, NYC, Lowriders, Porsche, New Show & the FOOSE

What’s up, you TURDALICIOUS TWEEKERS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! So many awesome things happening in Car Culture these days that we wish we could Xerox Fireball… but let’s REV UP with some Classic PONTIAC GTO ART in Black, baby! LET’S GO!!

DID YOU KNOW?? Designed by David North at General Motors, the 1964 Pontiac GTO ($295 option on a $3,200 Tempest) ignited the muscle car era by putting a 389ci V8 in a lightweight, mid-size car. It was named after the Ferrari 250 GTO and, while managed by John DeLorean, was styled by North to include signature hood scoops and a wide-track, aggressive stance. North later contributed to the Cadillac Eldorado, Buick Riviera, and Oldsmobile Toronado!

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… Fireball discusses GOOD and BAD with the Big Man up north while on location in NEW YORK CITY, spots a gorgeous LOWRIDER in Ventura (But WHAT IS IT?) and belts out some Classic PORSCHE ART for the Garage! HIT IT!

While at DISNEYLAND with the FOOSE, the boys design cool cars in this Vintage Snap from RIDEMAKERZ! And don’t forget that the all-new HIBYE CARS & COFFEE is coming to Westlake Village on APRIL 4th! Should be an awesome show!

On today’s BEST OF SHOW… Fireball hits Channel Islands for the BRITISH CAR SHOW! WATCH!

PARTRIDGE, Classics, Wieners, Customs, Pimpin’ & REPLICANTS!

Good morning you RIDICULOUS RAISINS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Let’s blow this pop stand with some original PARTRIDGE FAMILY BUS Fireball Art first! Hot Rodded as only Fireball can do… this Shorty Bus is super cool and now, MUGSHOTTED!!

DID YOU KNOW?? The iconic 1957 Chevrolet Partridge Family bus was a 14-year-old retired school bus purchased by the studio for only $175! Famously featuring a Mondrian-inspired paint job, the bus was notoriously difficult to drive, with David Cassidy revealing it handled “Worse than a Mac Truck!” During filming, he and Danny Bonaduce once snuck the bus off the studio lot and drove it to a Burger King, causing a 15-minute panic among producers!

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… a cool snap for Friday Nights at WENDY’S in Ventura, the ball belts out some OSCAR MAYER WIENER ART for the Garage, remembers the NEO MINI that was inspired by THE MATRIX and the MUGSHOTTED BUS comes in 3 Colors and perfect for CAR MUSEUMS!

PIMPIN’ Cadillacs are abundant in Hollywood, but does Fireball need to SKETCH them? SHO NUF!! PLUS, Fireball’s original Livery Art for BLADE RUNNER with a Frank Stephenson designed MINI COOPER! “If only you could see what I’ve seen with THIS CAR!”

Today’s BEST OF SHOW episodes reveal DUNE BUGGIES, baby! Episode 1 is “ALL LEOPARD” and Episode 2 is a HERD! WATCH NOW!

MOD SQUAD, Wendys, Monkees, Minis, Customs & ON LOCATION

What’s up you EGGLESS EGGERTONS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! Let’s start the ball rollin’ with some super cool MOD SQUAD ART outta the Garage and remembering why MOPAR is cooler than cool!

DID YOU KNOW?? The cars in The Mod Squad (1968–1973) are as iconic as the characters, featuring a mix of a “Woody” station wagon and high-performance Dodge Challengers. As a Chrysler-sponsored show, the series showcased the latest Mopar muscle, including rare convertibles and custom TV creations. The most famous car was a 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible used in the 1972 season. Because Chrysler stopped making Challenger convertibles in 1971, the show’s car was updated with 1972-specific front and rear components, making it a “Heinz 57” custom hybrid. Only two or three of these 1971–1972 hybrid convertible cars were ever produced for the show, making them extremely valuable, with one selling at a Mecum auction for $48,500 over a decade ago. These cars were designated by Chrysler for “special handling,” often used as both on-screen stunt cars and promotional PR show cars.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… the Ball hits the Wendy’s Friday Night Car Show in Ventura, Burgers ensue. PLUS, one of our favorites… THE MONKEEMOBILE!

*The Monkeemobile, a heavily modified 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible, was designed by Dean Jeffries for “The Monkees” TV show, with two cars built in just four weeks. It featured a supercharged 389ci V8, a rear-mounted parachute, and a custom red/white/blue paint job, becoming a 1960s pop-culture icon.

ON LOCATION… Fireball hits the Petersen Museum with his STREET TUNER CHALLENGE MINI for an Auction and hangs with long-time friend and docent, Andy Limon. Andy  was at Northrup Grumman for 400 years! (That might be a slight exaggeration…)

MORE ART with Fireball’s take on Mike Zarnock’s CHEVY DRAG TRUCK, now in the Garage and spots a DODGE POWER WAGON on Location in Ventura. Cars EVERYWHERE! And lastly, a MINI WOODIE COOPER CUSTOM! Check it out!

On today’s BEST OF SHOW… A Dodge VIPER GTRS spotted at the Hagarty Garage and a Bob Gurr designed original DISNEYLAND AUTOPIA CAR! Peace out, folks!!

CORVETTE ART, Route 66 Travel, Furiosa, Emergency & Magnum!

What’s up, you WEIRDO WACKADOODLES and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! And to celebrate an amazing Friday… Fireball launches all-new CORVETTE ART and MORE! This one, a 1957 VETTE, but pulling double-duty…

DID YOU KNOW?? The 1957 Corvette, celebrated for its pure, uncluttered design, was developed under GM design chief Harley Earl, with significant contributions from Bill Mitchell, who famously resisted making it a four-seater. Often called the “purest” early Vette, it introduced the iconic side coves. It was the first year the Corvette got serious about racing, featuring a 283 cubic-inch V8 with optional fuel injection and featured a 140 mph speedometer and a tachometer positioned in the middle. Each fiberglass body was meticulously hand-assembled, a departure from traditional, automated steel stamping and only 65 1957 Corvettes were painted Inca Silver.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… a huge thanks to Fireball Fan Larry Davidson for his inspiration to do ROUTE 66 TRAVEL POSTERS! Coming weekly for the next 10 weeks, Fireball will be busting out an all-new Poster for you guys, featuring different and UNIQUE Route 66 locations with ALL NEW CARS!! And today, it’s this ’57 VETTE at CADILLAC RANCH!! Check out the POSTERS in the store! What will be NEXT?? Stay tuned NEXT FRIDAY!!

GALAXIE, Celebs, Travel Poster, Lost in Space & BEST OF SHOW

What’s up, you QUANTUM QUARKS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! If you’re new here, then you’re in for a treat as we’ve got over 365K Subscribers now and MORE NEW ART COMING! Let’s celebrate with Fireball’s much anticipated and recent FORD GALAXIE 500 ART, now in the Garage!!

DID YOU KNOW?? This full Custom GALAXIE 500 is the 427 Race-Code version and owned by Montecito’s own Gene Wheeler. A stunning car with over 500hp! But the 1963½ Ford Galaxie 500 R-Code, often called the “Lightweight,” was a purpose-built, high-performance factory race car created to dominate NASCAR and NHRA, featuring a 425-horsepower 427-cubic-inch V8 with dual-quad carburetors. Only about 200 were produced, featuring weight-saving fiberglass panels and no creature comforts. To dominate the drag strip, these cars were stripped of sound deadener, sealer, radio, heater, and sometimes even had thinner glass. The front fenders, hood, and trunk lid were made of lightweight fiberglass. Further weight reduction was achieved by using aluminum for the front and rear bumpers. The cars came with heavy-duty cast-iron headers, which were often replaced by racers, but are now highly coveted by collectors. These cars were capable of running low 12-second quarter-miles straight from the factory, but the 1963½ model introduced a new “fastback” roofline designed specifically to improve aerodynamics for NASCAR.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… A Celeb Snap of PAUL NEWMAN who looooved Cadillacs, among many other cars. The GALAXIE is now featured on Fireball’s MONTECITO VINTAGE TRAVEL POSTER also!! A SKETCH of Steve McQueen’s PORSCHE 917K hits the Garage HERE and Fireball busts out LOST IN SPACE ART with the CHARIOT! Where you a fan of the show?

Fireball and buddy DICK VAN DYKE hitting Car Shows back in Malibu… but Dick is now 100 and still pluggin’ away! As he says, KEEP MOVIN’, PEOPLE!

KNIGHT RIDER, Thunderbirds, Galaxie, Kojak & BEST OF SHOW!

What’s up you MUNSTERED MANIACS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Let’s get this Monday started with some super cool original KNIGHT RIDER ART with some added USA, baby! And for those that understand, what you focus on… EXPANDS. So THINK GOOD THOUGHTS and FEEL AWESOME. Let’s do this…

DID YOU KNOW?? KITT from Knight Rider was based on a customized 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, with over 20 vehicles used throughout the series’ four-year run. While Pontiac provided many cars, they were not initially designed for stunts, requiring heavy modification for durability and the show’s iconic, yet often non-functional, futuristic dashboard!

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball hits Montecito for the SANTA BARBARA CARS & COFFEE with cohorts Car Designer Dan Padilla and Frenchman Filmmaker Patrice Knanec! SNAPS coming, but check these doods out!!

THE FAB 1 from THUNDERBIRDS is one of today’s Fireball Art SKETCHES! Lady Penelope’s iconic pink, six-wheeled limousine from the original 1960s Thunderbirds series, was designed by special effects genius Derek Meddings. It was designed as a futuristic Rolls-Royce, with Meddings adding the distinct, unnecessary extra front wheels purely for aesthetic flair.

Today’s featured BEST OF SHOW is Gene Wheeler’s 500HP ’64 FORD GALAXIE 500! A BEST OF SHOW episode is coming… and so is a FIREBALL SKETCH! Car was Magnifico!!

More KNIGHT RIDER Concept Art with Fireball’s take on a 2030 version, inspired by the Classic PONTIAC BANSHEE! Should Pontiac come back?? We THINKS SO.

“WHO LOVES YA, BABY??” KOJAK does, and so do we. And MUGSHOTS are in the Garage NOW! Kojak’s iconic, often-confused unmarked police car was primarily a 1974 Buick Century Sedan in “Nutmeg Poly” (metallic brown), though a 1973 model and a 1975 copper model were also used. The 455-cubic-inch V8 engine, magnetic roof-mounted gumball blue light, and 383-JDZ license plate made it famous.

THIS COMING SATURDAY NIGHT in Rancho Dominguez, Fireball will be at the LION’S MUSEUM ART & DESIGN EXPERIENCE GALA! Check out the flier and come meet up with us! Going to be an amazing show!

Today’s BEST OF SHOW Episodes include a sick CHEVY 3100 KUSTOM PICKUP and a badass hysterical Lemon-Lime CORVETTE ZO6! WATCH!

007 CARS, Jeep, Kung Fu, Monsters, Jetsons & BEST OF SHOW!

What’s up, you NUCKLIN’ NINKUMPOOPS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Bond is the first item up for bids with the CITROEN 2CV from which 007 film?? (Most people get it wrong!)

DID YOU KNOW?? The Citroën 2CV is an iconic French car produced from 1949–1990, designed for rural farmers to carry 50kg of goods or eggs across rough fields without breaking them. It featured a 2-cylinder engine, a roll-back roof, and was famously “impossible to roll” due to its low center of gravity and soft suspension. “2CV” stands for deux chevaux (two horses), referring to the French fiscal horsepower rating. Early models had windshield wipers powered by the speedometer cable, meaning they only worked when the car was moving—and slowed down when the car did. The doors, roof, and seats could be removed in minutes, and the rear bench seat was designed to be used as a picnic bench. Due to its slow speed and unique, ribbed appearance, it was commonly nicknamed the “Tin Snail.”
