I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why I do all of this Car Art… The Cars. The Coffee. The . The Mugs, Shirts and all the crazy stuff I’m creating every day. And I think I’ve finally figured it out…

It’s because I’m one of you.

I’ve spent my life around cars since 1965, designing them from Kindergarten to Grade School to Jr. High and High School. For Theme Park Companies, Car Companies, Movies, TV and more. Going to Car Shows, Auto Shows, Club Events. Drawing them every frikkin’ day on this Blog… and Collecting serious Diecast. Talking to people who can spend an hour telling me every little detail about a car that most people would walk right past. I get it.

Because there’s something about Cars… that goes way beyond the cars themselves. And that is the memories we share. The STORIES WE TELL.

It’s the people you meet at a show. It’s the car you dreamt about as a kid. It’s finding that one diecast you’ve been looking for at a swap meet for nearly 3 months. It’s standing in your garage at night with your friends looking at something you love… and shootin’ the shit.

I’ve always believed that the things we surround ourselves with, should make us Feel Something. And that’s why I make ART. That’s why I created Fireball Tim Garage.

That’s why I’m making Coloring Books, Coffee and all the other crazy Automotive Stuff every day… and why I won’t ever stop. It’s you guys that fuel me. I’m simply taking the things I’ve loved my entire life and turning them into things I can share with people who love them too. People like you. People with these car below. Real cars that belong to REAL PEOPLE just like you.

Maybe that’s the enemy I’ve been trying to fight all along? The ORDINARY. Can you feel it? It’s our Common Enemy. It’s the dark shadow of Boredom that chases us and that we outrun every time we get in our CARS.

Life is too short to surround yourself with things that don’t make you SMILE. So I’m going to keep drawing CARS. YOUR CARS. Keep creating NEW COOL SHIT. Keep going to SHOWS. Keep COLLECTING. Keep drinking way too much COFFEE and keep sharing the things that make being a Car Person so damn much fun. YOU are my TRIBE. YOU are TEAM FIREBALL.

VINTAGE BALL! It was 1977… “Star Wars just came out and I was starring as Tom Sawyer in a play called ‘MISSISSIPPI MELODY’ at Topa Topa Elementary in Ojai, Ca. My Dream… was to get through the performance and not faint like a Hot Sack a’ Tater Tots. We did it, and I fell asleep in a side booth at Carrows. I think my folks left me there for the night. Don’t remember… FT”
