“Sometimes we think something might be good for other people, but not us. Then we find out we didn’t know what we were missing.” She smiled at him, leaned over and rubbed Tabooli’s belly. “Of course, I’m talking about dogs.”

“The Society for Human Enlightenment believes if they can get enough people going to Hell, God will blink,” Allison replied.

“Like in a stare down,” Allison explained, “you know, who ever blinks first loses.”

The Society vs the Fellowship are good rivals and well developed.One pet peeve, and being military you should have caught: Medal of Honor is not "won" and recipients aren't "winners." Awarded, earned, received, etc. but never won. (I am retired Navy Public Affairs and had to be alert for this and other common mistakes.) Thanks.
Thoroughly enjoyed the book!
Hope you do more like Just Verdicts. It was great! So many emotions.
