Abhishek Leela Pandey was born in India in a Hindu Brahmin family, though he identifies himself as an ignostic. His father served in Indian Air Force and mother is a Doctorate in Literature. He grew up in various cities including Jammu, Darjeeling, Chandigarh and Lucknow, owing to the transferable jobs of his father. He developed interest in Pure Mathematics and Literature through observation of humanity and nature. At an age of 12, he published his first poem in his school magazine. Later he wrote for magazines and newspapers.

He teaches Quantitative Aptitude and Soft Skills to Management Aspirants in New Delhi, India.

The Man with Five Heads is his first novel.
