June Bryan Belfie began writing in her 70s and has written over 30 books. Her Amish novels became best sellers on Amazon Kindle, and her work has been published with both Harlequin and Desert Breeze. You can find most of her books available at Barnes and Nobles in paperback or e-book. Soon audio books will be available for some of her Amish and Christian-based novels.

While raising five children, June found time to take up oil painting and studied under several nationally known artists. She also loved to play the piano, sing, and sew.

In the 1970’s, she and her husband, Jim, purchased and operated a thirty-eight-room country inn located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she established an art gallery as well as creative workshop

I've been an innkeeper, artist, active mommy who enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing -- you name it. Loved the years when my children were young and at home. I also am an antique dealer and have done ebay and etsy. Oh, did I mention I love travel?

I also love writing about people who experience spirituality in their lives. Being a Christian is basic to my belief system and it's a privilege to share thoughts and Christian values with my readers in a non-threatening way.(less)

(Probably around age 15) and I was fascinated with their strange relationship.

In my own books, I like Antony and Julia from my Julia series. Antony reminds me of my own dear husband - Italian, exciting, and of course, handsome!(less)

Trip to new Amish Market in Westtown, Chester County, Pennsylvania

When our children were young, we lived in a stone home built in 1758 in Westtown, Chester County, Pennsylvania, which is less than an hour from Center City, Philadelphia. The county is similar to Lancaster County with rolling hills, small towns, and fertile farmland. Many Amish live tucked away in the countryside alongside their English neighbors.

Our second son lives only a couple miles from where Read more of this blog post »

“And God doesn’t break his word.”
June Bryan Belfie, Waiting for Belinda

“Darrel, let me ask you a question and I want the whole truth. What do you think about God?” He let out a hesitant laugh. “I’m afraid I don’t give him much thought.” “But you believe in Him?” “I guess so, most of the time. Look, Ruth, I want to be totally honest with you. I don’t see many signs of there being a God. Not one who is caring, anyway. I lead a good life so if there’s a place called heaven, I’m sure I’ll make it.” “You don’t know you are a sinner?” “Have I cheated a little on my income tax? Or maybe told a lie or two? Of course, who hasn’t? But I’ve never murdered anyone or stolen anything. No, I don’t think I’m a sinner.” “A lie is a sin, or cheating the government. You have to realize, Darrel, every one is born with a sinful nature. It’s only through Christ we are made right with God. Through the blood shed on the cross, He took everyone’s sin on himself. Now we can be pure in front of God, because we’re forgiven.”
