Being harassed by women

I don’t want your sex. I want Jesus. So stop harassing me.

The National Health Service Under King Charles III — A Corrupt and Murderous Institution

I thought I would offer a few reflections on the mental health and hospital system in the United Kingdom as a way of helping me to process some of the cruelty and abuse I’m experiencing. I apologise in advance if my reflections are imperfect. When you’re experiencing extreme cruelty, institutional corruption and torture it can be difficult to write in an articulate way.

The National Health Service in the United Kingdom is not a health service, really, it has become a death service. The Mental...

God’s Grand Game Revisited

My interest in philosophical theology began around the same time I first read the Bible. I had already been through a meandering spiritual journey involving forays into meditation, psychology, and enlightenment schools of thought, as recalled in The Philosophy of a Mad Man, which was my first book, is autobiographical, and captures my journey towards Jesus.

Not long after reading the Bible I decided to return to university to study Philosophy and Religion in a Catholic college, and this was a...

On a Happy Note

I recently wrote an article when I was feeling angry at God and I’m delighted that He doesn’t give up on us even when we feel like giving up ourselves.

I’m still in a hospital but God has been doing great things. One of the reasons why I was feeling so distressed is because I kept on praying for people to be saved and of course there is a process involved in people’s salvation and sometimes they are in a very dark place before God brings them into His glorious light. As empathic creatures, we...

Feeling Anger Towards God

I feel as though I have lived a miserable life and that no one in the world cares about me at all. This makes me feel angry at God. The King is of course responsible for the mental health system in which I have been abused so badly, but why has God not acted to bring change or alleviate my burdens?

While I know that we have to look at the present life in relation to eternity and paradise, I am stuck in an impossible situation again and am being abused terribly again. I’m so sick of it all. An...

Hardback Editions and Music Releases

Dear all,

I recently wrote an article explaining that I had relaunched StevenColborne.com but was only selling my books as paperbacks. Since then, I made the decision to put hardback versions of Philosophical Theology and The God Articles on sale in the shop, and I also wanted to mention that digital downloads of two music recordings (a Marconi’s Voodoo album and an Agony and Ecstasy EP) are also available from the shop.

All of my products are once again available on a ‘pay as you wish’ ba...

‘Abuse Culture’ and the Catholic Church

I am feeling highly stressed due to being in a psychiatric hospital but have been meaning to write an article about ‘abuse culture’ for some time and this is my meagre and fleeting attempt.

Abusive tendencies are often passed down from parents to children and then to grandchildren. Our trauma sits in us as certain egotistical personality or character traits. Partial healing is possible through love, attention, and compassion, but complete healing can only be achieved by understanding the Gosp...
