I get inspiration from many things, like movies, books, and just life experiences. Sometimes a line will come to me when I'm performing the most basic daily thing like washing dishes or reading in bed.(less)

I thought to myself, I can do that and create my own little stories. For me, it's never easy to write a poem, no matter how simple the poem may seem. It takes imagination, recollection of moments from the past, tempered use of metaphor and simile sometimes, and just having this inner desire to create and to hope that others will enjoy what you've written too.(less)

Poem: In the Butterfly Room

I pay $5 to watch hundreds ofshape shifting wings flutter and soar towards the sky. A ceiling painted pale blue with a crooked yellow circle lurks in the distance like a sunflower birthing deformed seeds.A stray moth searches for the light, while life glows inside paper lanterns surrounded by purple ivy. The roomis uncomfortably humid, a small pupa with no

Still a joy after five years

Still fun. The humor hasn't gotten old and Cooper is one of the most interesting characters despite his charisma. Listened to this on two days after finishing the first book"

This was one of the books that I've been wanting to read for the longest time. The summary sounded interesting as there was the gothic manor, a walled, unkempt garden, and botanical horror. There was an element that I never saw coming with the rubies ...more
