Poem: San Marcos
The San Marcos caught our eyes and our hearts, pulling us in like a magical spell upon first glance. Our first apartment together as a young, married couple. My dream of living in vintage architecture soon a reality. A fine structure of old world skill and dark, bewitching wood; a forest transformed into a home with wooden floors that creaked, oversized windows that looked out upon a fire

King Louis XIV’s Abandoned Gothic Castle | EVERYTHING Left Behind
~ I really enjoy watching various urban explorers on YouTube and I happened to come across this new explore from BigBankz. In this video, he's exploring an abandoned castle in France and it's simply breathtaking what is left behind. I can only imagine what it must have been like to live here a century ago even though it was just abandoned around 1990. It's sad to just watch these historic

Nights in Rodanthe
~ Spotted this gem on Youtube and had to watch it again for old times sake. I watched this several years ago but couldn't remember the entire story or what happened at the end. I know, my memory of most movies I've seen before is horrible. However, the movie features two of my favorite actors.Nights in Rodanthe is a 2008 American romantic drama film. It is an

Six Month Mammogram
~ Well, my six-month mammogram was not what I had completely hoped for. I was actually a bit surprised when I was told that there was another calcification cluster that they are keeping an eye on, in the same area as the other one that was removed and biopsied. I wondered why they didn't tell me about this second area last time (maybe they didn't want to frighten me more than I already was?

THE WATCHERS | Official Trailer
~ I was so excited when I saw that this book was being made into a movie! I read The Watchers by A.M. Shine, a year or two ago and even then thought it would make such a good movie. Of course, I will have to wait for it to appear on a streaming service to rent but it will be worth the wait. If you haven't read the book yet, I would highly recommend it. If you're like me

Practical Magic
~ Last night, I rewatched Practical Magic. It's been some years since I've watched this movie so I forgot what it was about. I love the actresses in this film, particularly Sandra Bullock who plays Sally. I love the whole witchy vibe here and the scenes are so magical and gorgeous such as the room with all of the herbs, the Victorian home they live in, the potion making, the

Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig
~ This book had been on my to read list for the longest time and yet, I forgot about it until I stumbled across it on Amazon. This is also one of the heftiest books that I've read in a long time. I usually try to stay away from long books, just prefer shorter reads but I figured that I would give this one a chance. I'm so glad that I did. It's an amazing read and goes much
