'Untitled' Novel 2016 Synopsis
Jack shares his fiancée’s heart in more ways than he would care to admit…
Weeks following a horrific accident, Jack wakes on a hospital bed with his bride-to-be’s heart – Jeanie’s heart – pumping in his chest.
In death, Jeanie has saved Jack’s life…
What at first is a gift beyond comprehension, soon becomes a dark obsession for Jack. With every thump-thump of Jeanie’s heart, Jack is forever reminded that he owes his life to his dead lover.
Unable to find closure, Jack decides to stop his borrowed beating heart…
Until Jeanie’s best friend and Jack’s old enemy, Ruthy, tells Jack about an eccentric old character, Count Olenberg, in a German fairy-tale.
Count Olenberg, who lived on the side of a mountain in the Black Forest of Germany, was also a clock-maker and, according to the tale, was in possession of a very special clock. Instead of the clock turning its hands to the beat of the world; the world turns to the beat of the clock’s hands. It is a time-machine.
Apparently, Count Olenberg's reclusive descendent is reputed to be still in possession of this very special clock.
In utter desperation, Jack and Ruthy travel to the Black Forest of Germany.
A therapeutic guilt-trip and a way to finally lay Jeanie’s memory to rest soon becomes a dilemma, which Jack and Ruthy never saw coming…
They find themselves living a fairy-tale in a fairy-tale, where matters of the heart know no bounds.

'Untitled' New Novel 2016 inspiration
My new novel has been inspired by the following in no particular order…
Number 1. Not so long ago, my little girl Chloe, four years old, ran across the street and was just inches from being knocked down by a car. I almost lost my life as she almost did. I panicked, raw fear. I asked myself how I would live with myself if anything happened to her and the thoughts of the time-machine did enter my head…
This horrible morning provided the spark for my new novel in 2016 'untitled'.
Number 2. I have a grandfather clock dated 1782 and if you look into the face long enough you will begin to see the past. I also have a wood carved antique table. It is laden with folkloric and mythical beasts, dragons, fauns, and beautiful sirens.
Mix all of this up with a heart transplant and a doomed roller coaster ride and you've got your novel.
oh, and love...
