The Phantom Coach. Is Death a passenger, or is it our dark consciousness?
Tuesday's Tale of Terror is up on my wordpress. This Tuesday I am featuring a lesser known woman author, Amelia B. Edwards, author of The Phantom Coach, a short story about spirits of the dead.
Edwards was known in the mid-1800s more for her travelers tales than for her horror writing, although she was a friend of Charles Dickens, whom no doubt inspired her.

Behold, the Phantom Mirror
My Tuesday's Tale of Terror is an obscure short story published in Russia in 1918. Have you ever heard of author Valery Brussof? Some may know his horror novel The Fiery Angel, although I doubt many people have read it lately.
This week I'm featuring his short story, In the Mirror. The writing gave me a real shiver. This story, much like the mirror, does not let you go.
Read the introduction and the full text at my wordpress blog.
