Since this is a collection, I'll do several 'reviews' . . .'Sugarfoot Bricks':
Best. Quote. Ever. Describing the male protagonist:
"A magnificent muscular structure. Shoulder. Cut for perfect placement of ankles. Biceps. Developed to hold and move into positions best suited for deep thrusts, assisting in the throw around, the pull and the lay."
And that's the first paragraph. This writer knows how to paint a picture so you feel like you're there, and standing in the shoes of the main character. With remarkable economy (short stories are hard to do!)she gives information that arouses all your senses: smell, taste, touch, sight, sound. And she does it without overusing adjectives that tell you how to feel. She paints the picture and you feel what you will.
Stylistically, it reads somewhat like a screenplay in places, particularly where it summarizes who the characters are, then switches to the first person but as a literary device, I liked that a lot. This is not fluffy, basic erotica, this is complex serious writing and reminds me why I love indie authors. Oh, and a little surprise awaits at the end of this story. Whet.
