I grew up in Ripley, Ohio, a sleepy little town on the Ohio River, about 50 miles east of Cincinnati. At age 12 I owned my first business. I sold worms & minnows to fishermen at the local Marina. I've been an entrepreneur ever since. I'm married and have two kids, four grandson's, two granddaughters.

My greatest accomplishment in life is being a father. Nothing I've done previously, or will do in the future, can match that. Writing is my newest passion and I've recently completed my first novel. Writing, for me, is unpredictable. I can't just sit down and say, "okay, I'm going to write for three hours." When I get the urge, just like an itch you can't scratch, I scratch that itch. It may be in the middle of the night or early, early morning. It's kind of weird like that, but just like that itch, I have to satisfy the urge to write, immediately.(less)

Editing For Success

How important is editing? It's probably the single most important aspect of writing and then publishing your masterpiece. It could be bestseller material but if the editing is poor or non-existent, your hope of success is doomed from the start.
