It's a gamified writing platform where you fight monsters. So if I have to write 500 words to defeat a monster to complete a quest, it's a good incentive to just keep writing and not overthink it. If the writing is not good due to having an off day, I can edit or change it. It's not the end of the world if it's not perfect. (I mean when is anything ever perfect?)

'The Fog' was a film that terrified me when I was probably too young to be watching horror films. I was also inspired by one of my favourite sci-fi/horrors from the 1970s. The 70s version of 'Invasion of the Bodysnatchers' is set in a city and different in that respect from the book and the original film. I like it for its claustrophobic paranoia, and the disturbing ending. Although Revenants isn't a horror novel, I'd say it's a fantasy thriller with elements of horror, though it's a more psychological and paranormal type of horror. I don't do extreme violence.(less)

A wonderful trilogy and this the final book brings all to a perfect close. One of my favourite fantasy/sci-fi reads of all time. Perfectly unpredictable and original. I see parallels to the tales of Atlantis in it (Syl Anagist is almost an acronym). ...more
