In hindsight, I wish I had recorded what was going on in my head, as it would have helped.
Today when I have writers block I do the same thing. Park it, get up from my desk and I go for a walk. Does it work every time, unfortunately, it does not, but it does work a good part of the time. However, sometimes you just have to ride it out and let your subconscious do some thinking until there is a breakthrough. Every time I try to force my writing, I am not happy with the result.
Thanks for the question and I hope this has been of help. Cheers Jane

When I wrote the book, my intention was never to make money. My intention was to help one family never to have to experience what my family did after the loss of my 39 year-old husband. I wanted to use our real life experiences to help others.
Today that is still my intention but it has taken on a life of its own and turned into a movement. My writing has helped me to become a sought after international speaker, a guest expert on TV/Radio, and a contributing blogger for the Huffington Post along with a number of other wonderful things.
Thanks for asking. Cheers Jane

TWO DADS, ONE DAUGHTER

As we come upon another Father’s Day weekend, I find myself stopping to think about my dad and how much I will miss spending this special day with him.  However, I was very lucky to have had more than five decades with him and I am thankful for every one of them.  Unfortunately, my adult daughter has not been as fortunate. I am both proud and privileged today to share with you a blog she has w

Jane Blaufus WITH THE [STROKE] OF A PEN™, Claim Your Life

In 1999, Jane’s first husband was killed in an accident and she went from being a happily married woman one moment, to a widow with a twelve-year-old daughter the next. A veteran of the life insurance industry she had always thought that if something were to happen she would be better prepared to cope with the crisis than others would, wrong!

In her book WITH THE [STROKE] OF A PEN™, Claim Your Life. Jane has decided to ‘pay it forward’ and has shared not only their story but also that of her second husband who lost his wife to terminal cancer. This book is both motivational and educational. With her experiences, she has compiled an extensive checklist to help individuals have the courageous conversations not only with their loved ones but also with their life insurance advisor, lawyer, accountant and funeral planner. This book is about helping people to prepare before an illness strikes or a crisis happens but also offers wonderful help after someone has died.
