It seems every time I've been blocked it's because I'm tired or sick and then I can't find the funny. As a humorist, my goofball eyeballs are always seeking out my next story. I don't know if I'm drawn to crazy or if crazy seeks me out, but if I'm paying attention, so much material is always around the corner - especially in discount stores or on soccer fields.(less)

The first is you don't have to shower, wear pants or a bra while doing your work. Some of my best stories have been written in the shower. I'm also able to tote my kiddos around the free world whenever they need me. Plus, if the pay was great, I'd tell everyone to join their local "coupon-clipping-thrift-store-shopping-writer's-guild." This job is not for the feint of low checkbook balances.(less)
