There's always an interesting story associated with each place and it gets my creative juices flowing. The second thing I do to get inspired is go for a walk and/or run. Exercise like this always seems to help me think better. I always have my phone with me so that I can type out ideas I get.(less)

I never know exactly where my story will go in the middle - ideas sometimes come mid-sentence and I usually just go with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I do usually know how it will end, though, when I begin a book. I think I enjoy making conversations between characters the most. I enjoy wondering what this person would say, what would their reaction be. It's a fun process.(less)

Enjoyable western

Loved this western romance set after the civil war. It was certainly a rough and wild time in history, and you get a sense that you’ve stepped back in that time period in this book. Lots of adventure, romance, and misunderstandings.

“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach”

Stephenie Meyer
“Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars, points of light and reason. ...And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason, for anything.”
Stephenie Meyer, New Moon

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

“All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.

The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset, and the morning,
That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasent summer sun,
The ripe fruit in the garden,
He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.”
Cecil Frances Alexander
