At 15, Darrin Kramer wrote his first poem. He has since written over 700 poems. His first book "Fall Leaves Float" was released November 27, 2012 by Abbott Press and was chosen as a 2013 National Indie Excellence Award Finalist. His second book, "Absence Remains" will be released October 18, 2016 by Tate Publishing.

His poetry has been described as follows:

"The soul of the poet is unique in that he sees what is large and extracts meaning to send back in small, powerful doses. This soul is unlimited—he goes beyond the boundaries of gender, current events and even the five senses.
