The only thing you really can do is persist, and have a minimum goal to write something every day -- a page, or even a few paragraphs. It doesn't matter how bad it is, or if you even end up using it. It matters that you don't stop dead waiting for inspiration, because that may never come. You can always go back and edit, fix problems, delete what's not good enough, flesh out stories, add more explanations -- and you will do all those things -- but you can't fix what you haven't written, and the only solution to that is to write something. Thankfully, it's much easier to edit something that's already written than it is to write the initial draft when you're staring at a blank page. (less)

Without understanding why, you can't reliably predict it, nor can you plan strategies and business models to create it.

I'm a big believer that innovative startups are the engine of our economy, jobs creation, and future prosperity. And, disruptive innovators are responsible for virtually all real economic growth after controlling for inflation. That's why I thought this was an important project to undertake.(less)

What Causes Market Disruption? (Part 1)

Article Summary: Christensen's model of disruptive innovation tells us that when new market entrants offer products that are inferior to incumbents, at a lower price point, targeting non-consumers of existing products with solutions that are simpler, easier to use, more convenient and/or more accessible, that the upstarts will almost always win the competitive battle. We see this recurring pattern
