Alexandra Ely is a fantasy and science fiction novelist. She co-authored Chimera’s Blood, a young adult dystopian novel that is the first book in the Age of the Chimeras trilogy, published by Jumpmaster Press.
Alexandra chose her pen name as a tribute to her sixteenth great-grandfather, a sailor on the Mayflower. She likes to think the sea flows in her veins and believes her passion for the ocean and sailing ships comes from him. You’ll often find ocean themes and tall ships in her stories.
Her journey as a storyteller began in childhood, when she played make-believe in the dusty High Desert of California. A pivotal moment came in high school, when an old Russian playwright became her tutor, teaching her the profound art of plot twists, drama ...more
