With certain things about my book brought to my attn, use of redundant phrases, character development, and a storyline that moves too fast. I have decided to do a complete revision of the book. The story will stay the same, however, I plan to put a bit more history into the characters, I also want to build a bit more romance between a couple characters (but not too much as the first book is suppose to be about friendship).
I would happily consider other ideas you might like to add. In the end, I will probably add 15k-25k more words...possibly more.
Twilight was 130k words when it was submitted! That is a big no no in the world of traditional publishing! However, we no longer live in that world and the rules are being rewritten every day.
With that being said, Happy New Year everyone!! Let's get things started!!

As a new author I have so much to learn. My book GIFTED is the first of what will be a trilogy. I know there will be some that hate it, like it, and love it. For me it is about learning, becoming better with each book, and giving everyone something a little different each time. I am more than happy to receive emails and comments with suggestions and questions and will do my best to reply in a timely manner. I look forward to making new friends and discussing not only the Gifted books but books that interest you also.
