I confess...I'm a bit of a dork, with a quirky and sometimes dark personality, though not as dark as some. I love the outdoors and nature, and photographing normal, everyday things from different and abnormal angles. One of my photos has been published in the political humor book Red Dog/Blue Dog by Chuck Sambuchino.

Legally, my name is Susan Barton, but I write under the pen name Su Williams (my maiden name). I am a 48 year old mother of 4, Sarah, Josiah, Jack and Aundraic. I'm married to Ben and we have 2 cats, a garder snake, a crested gecko named Reid (like in Criminal Minds) and a beagle, Dyson (yes like the vacuum) who is my favorite teddy puppy.

I was born in Little Rock, AK. My daddy was military and my parents finally decided that Sp

Ms Funke did an amazing job describing and building her world that by the time I finished the series I wished I could visit such a place. Awe-inspiring and thrilling.(less)

I have to apologize. I've been meaning to contact the winners and let them I was delayed in ordering paperback copies. My six year old beagle was just diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma so all extra cash has gone to diagnosis and medication to keep him comfortable. My dad just gave me the money the other day, just so he could get his copy. Dads are great. So I ordered them that day...Monday and got an email they shipped yesterday. They're due by Nov 2 and I'll get them out asap once they arrive. Thank you for your patience and for contacting me. It will spur me on to let the other winners know as well.
I am curious, have you read the other 2 books? If not, they and my fairy tale short story are only 99cents on Amazon Kindle. Here's the links just in case: Dream Weaver http://mybook.to/DWNovels
Rock Star http://getbook.at/Rockin
Thanks again for contacting me. I hope you enjoy Breaking Normal. Have a lovely day!

“Time was a funny thing... Instead of marching in at a measured pace, it seemed to flow like a river. Quiet days pooled together, languid with a sense of sameness, and events swirled and eddied, and time seemed to pick up its pace. Then there was the tumbling, dangerous rush of white water over the rocks, and the heart-stopping terror of relentless inevitability as the water fell over the edge, and you knew that no matter what you might do or wish, you could not stop that flow from falling.

All you could do was surrender to the experience and flow with it.”
Thea Harrison, Lord's Fall

“Aryal yawned. She had stretched out on the floor, her long legs crossed at the ankle. She said in a drowsy voice, “I could start bitch-slapping people. Sooner or later somebody would squawk.”
Thea Harrison, Storm's Heart

“I accept chaos, I'm not sure whether it accepts me.”
Bob Dylan

“Every morning I jump out of bed and step on a landmine. The landmine is me. After the explosion, I spend the rest of the day putting the pieces together.”

Glad to connect with you! If you need any help, let me know. I'm not a whiz by any means, but I know my around a bit. And oh, don't you just loooove editing??? But that's the craft part of the art of writing. I published my first book after numerous edits in March 2013, and I just rereleased it with another round of edits.

Asch! omg, did I send you Rock Star? Do you want it? BTW, because of you, I did one more edit of Dream Weaver. Em's a little less sobby now. Not much. I figure with ptsd she should have the liberty to cry a bit. LOL. Email me at dreamweaver526@yahoo.com and I'll send Rock Star. PDF or docx?

Beth Lyon Barnett Thanks for being my friend. I'm new to GR so it will take me awhile to get up to speed. I'm editing my latest book, Adam's Needle, about an Ozark boy who fights prejudic in a small town. Hard work but lots of fun.

Jennifer Harris Hahaha thanks for the friend request Ms. Williams! I'm glad that the review made you smile:)

I'm also really excited to hear that the second book is almost done, I'm looking forward to getting a copy (after I make my way through the pile of books I accumulated Black Friday shopping this year lol) and your plan to edit Dream Weaver sounds like a good one!

Also, I just wanted to say that it's really awesome to hear back from you!:D Best of luck in all of your writing ventures!:D
