Sam Gray is a writer based in Shropshire whose work explores the connections between food, farming and rural life. For nearly fifteen years she lived on a small hill farm in Shropshire, raising rare-breed pigs and sheep, collecting eggs in all weathers and discovering that animals have an uncanny habit of needing breakfast before humans.
Those years of mud, seasons and small-scale food production now shape her reflective memoir writing about sustainability, resilience and often complicated relationship with the land.
