Prepare the time by creating a setting that makes you both comfortable. This could mean writing in bed with a glass of wine (works great). Write in a place and time that reduces the stress, and be ready to give in when arguing over words. (The words can always be renegotiated later when working with your editor. Our editor is our word mediator)

We are in the process of writing a micro-book that describes how to do this best. Hopefully, the book will be out by early 2016.(less)

If I'm blocked on one subject then I will simply move on to something else, and return when I feel moved. Often, when writing a book, I'll start writing wherever I feel inspired. With The Borealis Genome I started in the middle of the book, on a subject I liked, and then worked both directions. We wrote backward and forwards through the book.(less)

2020 – Every Christmas Morning

They wanted to hear the story of Jesus’s birth every year. Our tradition was always to read Luke 2:1-20 from the heavy, family Bible before we shared gifts.
