Casey "C.S." Fritz grew up on a farm in Oregon, where he milked cows and had a pet pig. To escape the endless chores of cleaning chicken coops and watering tomatoes...Casey would draw.

As a young child, Casey's family moved to Arizona. It was there beneath the fiery gaze of the Southwestern sun, that he spent most of his life. Graduating school, marrying the love of his life and having two wild kids. It was also there that C.S. Fritz's work began to take traction with local galleries and art publications.

C.S. Fritz now is an award-winning author and illustrator with published children's titles as...

"C.S Fritz, I promise you this isn't a lie.
I enjoyed this book. It was short but did a wonderful job at nailing how complex it is to be human. All we have is here and now - not then.

"I was hooked from even the title and the more I read, the more I felt an urgent need to know what came next. Dark, witty, strangely optimist, I've never read a story quite like this.

“from where you stand, it is 3,958.8 miles to the center of the earth. The furthest mankind has been able to drill down is a measly 7.5 miles. This hole still exists today, close to the Norwegian border; one could visit and drop a coin into its blackness. Of course, if you were to fall into this hole, it would take 215.76 seconds or 3.59 minutes for you to reach its end.”

“life is a constant process of dying.”

C.S. Fritz, A Fig for All the Devils

“Happiness is a fickle lover; if loved too tightly, she often grows weary and finds a way to end herself in search of a new host. But, if happiness is not one’s center and merely a product of one’s venture, then she can be found seemingly everywhere you look, like fresh flowers perched at the tips of weeds.”
