Prequel to Dragonhorse

Writing and marketing coupled together with painful scoliosis can and is a daunting task! This morning once again I must sit at the computer with a dagger in my back (my scoliosis) and create. But I will push on and prevail just as I always have my whole life. It is the same as performing magic...no matter the outcome you must push on and practice your craft. Practice does make perfect and you learn a whole heck of a lot on the way; remember in Dragonhorse Shion must learn that the journey is the best part.
This reminds me of when I was a wee child probably about the age of 10. I and my constant companion Kelly, wanted to be wildlife healers. We were young, and full of compassion for every crawling, creeping, flying, running, being on our earth. This was when I just knew I had a mission in life but at that time thought it was only to heal animals.
I remember our first patient. Kelly and I were enjoying the end of a downpour that had flooded the streets with bath like water. We noticed a worm--yes I said worm, the lowliest of the beings on our planet; anyway this poor little worm must have tumbled along the sides of the street and gotten beaten nearly to death! Well, we just had to save the little fellow, and proceeded to wrap him in a band-aid. The wiggly little bugger was having none of it, and crawled right out of our careful and loving administrations.
How many of us today would do such a thing? Most of us not. We loose that part of ourselves after our "rights of passage" into adulthood. We loose the magic of our lives! How sad don't you think?
So, this is why I write. It keeps me connected to that time in my life;keeps me connected to my enchanted realm. What keeps you connected to your enchanted realm?
Oh, and I might add I was a HUGE Merlin fan; the SYFY series that just ended. That was my Friday night connection to my enchanted realm, and I was and am so sad to see it end.
So, what to do, what to do? The ending of Merlin has now opened the way to the beginning of another chapter to the world of Dragonhorse. Yes, I have started the prequel! The prequel will answer all of the why's and whats of what Shion and her allies had to endure and conquer. We go back to another time-to the beginning. I will keep you posted...Dragonhorse and Seeker of the Forgotten Knowledge

This is a YA book with a prequel on the way

Hi friends, I just wanted to let you all know that yes, this is a YA written book.
So , it is an easy read. Most of my older readers enjoy this fact too.

Also one of my reviewers wanted more background on the characters...And I thank her for bringing up that very important point! Yes, the prequel will answer all the questions. I could not divulge too much in the first book.
If you are interested in going back to the lost city of Lemuria and have heard about the hollow earth theory, you might be interested in finding out how all of the characters relate to this. Yes, they will all be back!
Thanks for the honest reviews! But I do expect some bumps in the road..it is how we all learn is it not?
Happy Reading!

Shanghai Book Fair Inquiries

It's been a while so thought it was time to catch up!
Dragonhorse went to the fair via Foreward Reviews through Association of Independent Authors which I am a member of. The Fair ended November 10th, if I remember correctly and since then I have had inquiries! Apparently this is a long process but considering all the titles available and me being an Indie that is very exciting for me! Sylvia Hayes will be my international rights/royalties agent for this process, since I would much rather write. This is a very difficult undertaking and I am clueless.
This is very encouraging for me to keep moving along on my series. See this book is not your usual pop out of your head kind of story. This series is taken from our forbidden and theoretical history of our world. Since I began studying earth based religions and healing modalities it has brought me deeper and deeper into the mystical realms of our world and worlds beyond. That which cannot be seen does not mean it does not exist. Remember when Christopher Columbus came to the Americas? The natives could not see his boat anchored off the shoreline. They had no idea “others” existed so their minds could not comprehend this information and their brains did not process this into a believable picture.
It was the Medicine Man who first noticed something going on when he saw the ripples in the water from the boats. He was the enlightened being of the people so he went beyond his peripheral seeing.
So, I must write as I myself go beyond my peripheral seeing. This series has been an awakening for me. And as I awaken I further understand more possibilities of our unseen and yes forbidden world. So, book 2 of the series, will take us back to one of Shion’s past lives. We will learn of her life as Sumayah, an up and coming priestess of the lost continent of Lemuria. Have you ever heard of it? I will tell my version of what I think happened to this lost world and I will incorporate the “Hollow Earth” theory. Have you heard of Agartha? It is the middle world, middle earth where the gypsies believe they came.
Even Hitler believed in Agartha and some believe he was able to get there and was sent there after his death. Not sure why they would let him in though.
The Journey to the Center of the Earth is the same theory, so you see others have been lead to this information and awakening too. I look at my path to writing as a journey of discovery. Writing this has been just as much fun as some of you found reading it. Those of you who do not get it and just enjoy will eventually have a light go on.
So, my point about inquiries with the book Fair. I must get the second book Dragonhorse and the Priestess of Lemuria, finished in case I am picked up. I am half way through and it is going much differently than I expected. Let’s just say I am pleasantly surprised.
Happy Holidays to all, I celebrate Yule which is also the Winter Solstice, the return of the sun and when the Holly King must die and give up his crown so the Goddess may give birth to the new Oak King; never ending turning of the wheel of the year.
