Signe grew up in a Navy family that relocated frequently during her father’s military career. This constant moving gave her a love of adventure which she shares with her characters.

Signe reads history, adventure, romance, and mysteries. As a girl she read every book in the OZ series, which likely led to writing about a young girl and her unusual companions in Anthra’s Moon. For Queen of Incense, she drew upon frequent visits to Death Valley to write about traveling in the Arabian Desert.

Signe is a member of the Historical Novel Society and NW Independent Writers Association (NIWA). She lives in beautiful, rainy Portland, Oregon with her family and an assortment of friendly pets.
