Brad was born in rural New England and grew up reading Louis L'Amour, Luke Short, A.B Guthrie, Jr., and even Edgar Rice Burroughs. He knew at 14 he wanted to write for a living, and refused to give up the goal even when the odds seemed overwhelmingly against it. Now, thanks to Amazon, his stories are now available. He is a member of the Western Writers of America

Brad fell in love with the Old West at a very young age. It began with movies and old TV series like GUNSMOKE and BONANZA, and later expanded to western novels. I still wrote, but the stu…moreI've been very blessed in that I have had writer's block only once. I was a sophomore in high school. It lasted ten months. I still wrote, but the stuff I wrote was derivative of movies I had seen and books I had read, and I would never share it with anyone. This was many years ago, and I have been blessed in that I haven't had to deal with it since. I hope I never have to. Since that time, ideas for stories have flown into my mind so freely and so plentifully that if I should never have another story idea, I could still turn out fifteen more novels. How to deal with it? I have no idea. I suppose I would recommend reading Stephen King's book "On Writing." I think he deals with the subject at one point.(less)
