"Never stop dreaming or reading." - A.B. Shepherd

A.B. Shepherd grew up in Lansing, Michigan, but moved to Australia once her children had grown and empty nest syndrome set in.

She now lives in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, with her husband and their imaginary friends.

She loves living near the Southern Ocean and often finds it inspiring. She can usually be found seaside at Port MacDonnell, or lost in a fantasy world.

Lifeboat is her debut novel - a science-fiction/suspense tale. Her second book, The Beacon is a psychological thriller, novella.

Okay, I will guiltily admit that I have had two books in progress for quite some time now.

One is the sequel to Lifeboat. It is titled Rise of the Mockling.

And the other is a psychological thriller called 3B.

However, I have very recently been grabbed by a new book that is pulling my mind away from everything else. I'm outlining it now and I can't stop thinking about it, which is an odd thing for me because I've always been primarily a pantser.

I don't have a title for it yet, but it is looking to be a dystopian, urban fantasy type adventure with a truly kick ass, yet vulnerable, heroine that I am in love with.

I'm using the working title of Piper for it and I hope to complete my first draft in the month of November 2014.

And as soon as any of these three new books is ready I will be sure to let you know. :)(less)

Criminal by K.B. Hoyle - Blog Tour! #amreading #giveaway

K.B. Hoyle is a fantastic author. I adored her Gateway Chronicles fantasy series geared toward young adults, and I also loved her first foray into the New Adult genre titled Breeder. You can take a look back at my review of Breeder here

I was recently blessed with an advanced review copy of Breeder's sequel, Criminal, in exchange for a fair and honest review. Criminal picks up right where Bre Read more of this blog post »

More than anything else this is an ode to a neurodivergent MMC and while the story isn't bad, it's a bit OTT in that regard for my tastes.

For the record, I do enjoy stories with neurodivergent characters, but I prefer when that's a character trait r
