I just sent Fire, book 3 of the Knights of Av'lor trilogy, out to my editor. My goal is to have it up for sale by Christmas.

Wow, it's been forever since my last post!

I'm in the process of wrapping up Fire, the final book in the Knights of Av'lor trilogy, and hope to send it out to my editor soon.

It's been a very slow process due to health issues, but rest assured I will conclude the series!

My focus this year will be on finishing book 3 of the Knights of Av'lor trilogy. There's still time to provide input on which character(s) you'd like to see with a POV via a direct email to me (sam.rook.author(at)gmail.com) or a comment to this post.

I'm still on the fence about my project after the Knights of Av'lor trilogy. I've considered writing a few novellas involving the origin of some of the characters (Lanclor, Alextor, Garrent, etc) and how they became Soulbearers.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in this aspect, otherwise, I'll move on to other fantasy worlds.

Due to an unexpected issue with the publisher, Gate will now be released on Sunday, March 15th instead of May 1st.

The giveaway ending on March 18th will still include a first edition proof copy of Gate, but will unfortunately arrive after its release date. To make up for that inconvenience, I'll throw in a proof copy of Hope and sign both of them for the winner!

Gate is now available for pre-order with a release date of May 1st. Keep your eyes open for a Goodreads giveaway with a chance to grab a proof copy prior to Gate's release date.

Just a quick update on Gate. It's currently with my beta readers and then it'll head out to my editor.

Sorry for the long absence!

Unfortunately, I've had to delay working on the second book in the series due to illness. Lyme Disease is not something that allows you to keep to a schedule, but I'm making progress on GATE. I hope to have it out to my beta readers in the next few months.

The cover for GATE is all set to go as you'll see on samrook.com. I'll let everyone know when it's available for pre-order!
