Mykaela has been making up stories since elementary school. As a teenager, she wrote her first novel, a murder mystery that was almost published, but given the boot after a bad experience with a publishing company. It would be five years before she penned another word.

Compass Rose started as a way to pass the time when she worked as a bank teller (gotta do something to pass those boring work hours), and soon became her new obsession. When she isn't holed up in some coffee shop creating made up fantasy worlds, she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
