Born in 1978 in Mulhouse (Alsace, France), Jean-Philippe Vest began writing while studying Art History at Strasbourg’s University. At age 21, he spent a year in the United States, in Indiana, at Manchester University. He worked as a teacher of French and discovered the life of an American campus, far from stereotypes we have in Europe.

Back in France, he got down to writing his first novel, “The Museum of Soul Mates” (Le M.A.L.), which allows him to win a contest organized by a publishing house. The prize was the publication of the novel at national level.
