What stayed with me was how Tana French lets the case linger beyond the solution—the emotional uncertainty becomes almost as important as the mystery itself. If you continue with the Dublin Murder Squad series, I'd love to hear whether the next book stays with you in the same way.
Vera, In one of the group threads, you suggested I read In the Woods by Tana French. Well, I finished it tonight and wow! What a book. I didn't think a police procedural could or would be so well written. Not only so, but also a story that lingers in the mind and invites considerable afterthought. She writes such a deep and rich story that the book begs to be re-read almost immediately just to pick up on all the nuances that one misses the first time around. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
