J. T. Riggen was born in Montpelier, VT. He achieved a Masters in Clinical Medical Science from Barry University in Miami, FL, and currently works in Emergency/Urgent Medicine in the twin city area as a Physician Assistant. Shortly after moving to Minnesota, his passion for writing began.

His first novel, "Uptown", was a crime thriller published in 2013. It received the certificate of "Indie Reader Approved" by Indie Reader Magazine. In 2014, his next project began: "The Chaos of Change".

"The Chaos of Change" is his newest fictional story that parallels the current political times, highlights human beings' resistance to change, as well as their drive towards self-benefit. It also uncovers the hope that there are new-age heroes out there who

The Wonders of the Writing Process - UPTOWN -

THE PROCESS:
Writing Uptown has been the most fun and rewarding experience I have ever had. When I first started writing this novel it was simply because I was in-between jobs at the time and wanted to keep myself busy by pursuing a lifelong passion in writing. After a couple weeks my mind began to race faster and faster with bigger and better ideas. It came to a point where I had to slow myself do Read more of this blog post »

Hey everyone!

Today is the official RELEASE date of Uptown. The even more fun-half of this whole journey officially begins today as friends, family, and complete strangers have access to read Uptown. I just have a few comments I’d like to make.

You can purchase your paperback or ebook copies from both the Barnes & Noble and Amazon websites by searching ‘Uptown Riggen,’ or you can simply follow the attached link which will take you directly to the Amazon Uptown purchase page (don’t worry about the ‘1-3 weeks’ shipping prompt, people who have already purchased their copy early have been receiving it in 6-8 days).

***At this point the name of the game is sharing with your friends and family that Uptown exists. So for all of those who feel comfortable, sharing the above link on your timelines and/or sharing on your facebook/twitter/etc that you purchased your copy via Amazon would be huge***

And of course, for those of you who decide to jump into the dark and wild world of Uptown, if you enjoy the read, recommend it to your friends and family, and don’t hesitate to write a short (or long) review on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Thank you all for your support so far, without the readers it wouldn’t be much fun to write a novel. ENJOY!!!
