Ylva Bunch (previously Amanda Ylva) was born and raised in southwest Michigan, where she studied Environmental Sustainability and Geography at Western Michigan University. Between her studies and writing pursuits, she enjoys a pastime of gardening with native wildflowers, backpacking around Michigan, and hiking at local nature preserves. The inspiration behind her writing comes from her druidic spirituality and a deep philosophy of ecology, where the intrinsic value of nature is realized and honored.
